Dear Parents and Guardians,
This letter is to inform you that an emergency evacuation "go home" drill will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. This drill is a mandatory requirement under New York State Education Law 8 NYCRR-155.17(j), which mandates that all schools conduct one 15-minute early dismissal drill each academic year. The purpose of this drill is to ensure that our school community is prepared for a real-life emergency that might require an early dismissal.
On October 8, all students will be dismissed 15 minutes earlier than their regular dismissal time. Students who use bus transportation will be dropped off at their designated bus stops approximately 15 minutes earlier than their usual arrival time. Please make arrangements to be at the bus stop or pick-up location at the adjusted time. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to ensure the safety and preparedness of our students in any emergency situation.
